About the Artist/Site

Begun in the 1940s with a set of wading pools.  Eventually the garden would include mountains, a tower, palisades, arcades, pools and walks, all faced with mosaics, polished stones (thunder eggs, geodes, etc.) and glass set in cement.  The Friends of the Walker Rock Garden led by Nancy Worden are currently attempting to preserve (as of 8/1988).
